Step 1: Henna & Preps

When life gives you Henna, do freckles!

Yes, I am in my senses. If you want tinted freckles, get your hands on good quality henna in a cone form—one from India. 

Say no to back henna or henna made for hair, it may cause an allergy to your skin. Go for the natural one for the Face or hands with an organic smell (lavender or rose). 

Next, go for a patch test on your hand, wait for an hour or two and see if it causes any redness, itchiness, or irritation. If not, it’s good to go. You are ready to roll!

Step 2: Clean Your Face

Your face is like a canvas, so make sure it is cleaned before applying anything. 

Make sure your face is washed or cleaned properly. It should not have any makeup product on it. No need to apply any serum or moisturiser when doing henna freckles.

Also, if you have any cuts, wounds, rashes, or acne bumps, you’ll want to cure them first before applying henna to your face.

Step 3: Apply Henna

It’s time to do dot dot dot!

As I asked you to get a cone henna, it will make your freckles application a piece of cake. 

It depends on where you need freckles, the most common places are the cheeks, nose, and collarbone. Remove the pin from the cone, hold it like a pencil, and start by dotting the desired areas. 

Only press the cone a little bit when doing the process.

Step  4:  Let It Dry!

Once you are done with the complete application of henna, let it dry for at least 1 hour.

Keep in mind, the more time you give henna to dry, the darker the colour of your freckles will be. The darker henna freckles will probably last for one week. DON’T WASH YOUR FACE SOON!

Step 5: Wash Your Face

Finally, the last step!

Once the henna is dried, wash your face with a mild cleanser. Don’t scrub your face harshly, it will lighten the colour of freckles.

Apply a mild moisturiser, and leave your skin for a few hours. You will notice your freckle queen look after a while!
