A new vehicle is now 13% more expensive than the market average from just a year ago, while the average customer's used car will cost an incredible 27% more than at the beginning of 2021.

While Honda, Ford, Toyota and Chevrolet have two car models ranked among the ten most popular vehicles in 2022, Honda edges out the competition with its two best cars – Accord and Civic placed first and third place. Vehicle prices have risen dramatically over the past year and are expected to rise even higher in 2022. among the ten most popular cars in America, however, costs remain more reasonable. The average selling price of the ten most common cars in America is just $24,990, which is slightly more than half the national average.
Regional preferences. Everyone knows that the geographic regions of America have their differences in areas such as food or vernacular, but it turns out that they also have different preferences in vehicles. Honda sedans, especially the Accord, dominate the East and West coasts, while the Ford F-series pickup truck is extremely popular throughout the mountain west and great plains regions.
