Samsung introduced newly supported AI languages and dialects to Galaxy AI

Samsung added support for additional languages and dialects to its Galaxy AI portfolio. Apart from the existing 13 languages, Samsung enables a wider variety of Galaxy customers globally to utilise mobile artificial intelligence. Samsung intends to introduce four additional languages later this year in addition to these new languages and dialects.

The Galaxy AI tool now supports three additional languages and three dialects thanks to the upgrade. Three new languages, Arabic, Indonesian, and Russian, together with three new dialects, Australian English, Cantonese, and Canadian French, will be available on the Galaxy AI.

TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics said, “Committed to democratising mobile AI for all, Galaxy AI’s language expansion this year will allow even more Galaxy users to communicate beyond language barriers on a scale that is completely unique to Samsung. We will continue to innovate our technology and pioneer premium mobile AI experiences so that even more users are equipped with the right tools to unleash their unlimited potential.”

Additionally, the company has disclosed that later this year, it expects to add two more dialects and four more languages. The addition of those languages will raise the total number of supported languages to twenty.

All smartphones that enable Galaxy AI will have the option to download the newly supported languages and dialects as a language pack through the Settings app. With more to come, those include the Galaxy Tab S9 series, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, and Galaxy Z Flip5.

The Circle to Search, allows users to simply circle, highlight or tap any image on their display and conduct a visual search on Google, while still within the app.

Live Translate facilitates real-time voice and text translations of phone calls, making it easier than ever to book reservations while travelling or chat with your grandparents in their native language during phone calls.

Generative Edit enables users to resize positions and align objects even after the photo is taken. Edit Suggestion gives you your photo editor that uses AI to suggest perfectly suitable tweaks for each photo.

Transcript Assist summarises, translates, and even transcribes voice recordings using AI and Speech-to-Text technology. Browsing Assist saves your time and keeps you informed by generating concise summaries of news articles or web pages.
