The Google I/O developer conference is set for May. During this, the company will make important announcements including product launches. Just one month before the tech event leaks regarding Pixel 8a surfaced on the web. The Pixel 8a has not yet been officially announced by Google, however, it has been seen on the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) certification page. As per the listing, the phone may include with improvements like a 120Hz display and Tensor G3 SoC. Additionally, compatibility for DisplayPort output might be included.

The Google Pixel 8a is anticipated to release in May during the Google I/O 2024 event. Four model numbers have been spotted listed on the Bluetooth SIG website that is believed to be the Pixel 8a. Model numbers G8HNN, GKV4X, G6GPR, and G576D are some of the variants of the Pixel 8a that are published on the Bluetooth SIG website. According to the listing, the phone will support Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity

Even before, the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website featured the Pixel 7a’s successor. Although prior rumours have hinted at potential Pixel 8a specs, Google has not yet officially confirmed the smartphone’s debut.

According to rumours, the Tensor G3 processor, which powers the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, will also power the Pixel 8a. It is anticipated to include a 6.1-inch full-HD+ OLED display with 1,080×2,400 pixels of resolution. The screen may get 120Hz refersh rate support along with a peak HDR brightness of 1,400 nits.

It might come with a dual rear camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens. There are rumours that it has a 13-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies and video calling.

The Pixel 7a was launched in India with a price tag of Rs 43,999 for the single 8GB RAM with 128GB storage option. The handset will come in three colourways Charcoal, Snow, and Sea.

7a features a 6.1-inch full-HD+ OLED with HDR support. The screen has a refresh rate of 90Hz and is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device is powered by the Tensor G2 SoC and Titan M2 security chip. It comes with a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 64-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) support and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens. There is a 13-megapixel selfie camera. The phone houses a 4,385mAh battery and doesn’t include a charger.
