यूपी के 75 जिलों के नाम हिंदी में List PDF

The state of Uttar Pradesh can be found in the northern part of India. It is both the most populous state in India and the most populous country subdivision in the globe, with a population of over 200 million people, making it the most populous state in both of these categories. After India had become a republic in 1950, it was then that it was established.

It was a successor to the United Provinces (UP) during the period of the Dominion of India (1947–1950), which was in turn a successor to the United Provinces (UP) established in 1935, and eventually of the United Provinces of Agra and Oudh established in 1902 during the time of the British Raj. During this time, India was still a part of the British Raj. Lucknow, the city that serves as the state capital, is one of the 18 divisions, and Prayagraj, one of the 75 districts, make up the state.

Prayagraj serves as the judicial capital of the state. The western Himalayan hill region of Uttar Pradesh was separated into its own state on November 9, 2000, and given the name Uttaranchal (today spelled Uttarakhand). The confluence of the Ganges and its main tributary, the Yamuna, may be seen at the Hindu pilgrimage site of Prayagraj, which is also known as the Triveni Sangam.

Other significant rivers include the Gomti and the Saryu. The percentage of land that is covered by trees in the state is 6.1 percent of the total land area. The entire geographical area comprises 82 percent of the cultivable land, whereas the net area sown accounts for 68.5 percent of the cultivable land.

The state is bounded on the west by Rajasthan, on the northwest by Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Delhi, on the north by Uttarakhand and an international border with Nepal, on the east by Bihar, on the south by Madhya Pradesh, and on the southeast by Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. Bihar and Madhya Pradesh are the only two states that it touches.

It is the fourth largest state in India when measured by total land area, covering a total of 240,928 square kilometres (93,023 square miles) and accounting for 7.3% of India’s total landmass. Although the state has historically been recognised for its sugar production, the services industry is currently the primary driver of the state’s economy. Travel and tourism, the hotel business, real estate, insurance consultancies, and financial advisory firms are all included in the service sector.

The economy of Uttar Pradesh is the third-largest state economy in India, with a gross domestic output of 17.05 lakh crore (US$210 billion) and a per capita GSDP of 65,431 (US$820). [6] Since 1968, the state of Uttar Pradesh has been placed under President’s Rule ten times, each time for a different reason and for a combined total of 1,700 days. The Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow, the Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport in Varanasi, and the Kushinagar International Airport are the three international airports that are now operated by the state (Kushinagar).

The North Central Railway has its headquarters in Allahabad Junction, while the North Eastern Railway has theirs at Gorakhpur Railway Station. Both of these stations are in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Allahabad is the seat of the state’s highest court, which may be found there. The state is responsible for a total of 81 seats in the lower chamber Lok Sabha and 31 seats in the upper house Rajya Sabha.

Depending on where in the state a person was born, they may be referred to as Awadhi, Bagheli, Bhojpuri, Braji, Bundeli, Kannauji, or Rohilkhandi. Bagheli is another name for a resident of the state. Islam is the second largest religious group, but more than three-quarters of the population adheres to Hinduism as their primary religious practise. Urdu and Hindi are the two languages recognised by the government as official languages of the state.

Hindi is the language that is spoken by the most people. After Hindi, Bhojpuri is the state’s language with the second highest number of native speakers. The majority of the major political entities that have existed in ancient and mediaeval India, such as the Maurya Empire, the Harsha Empire, the Gupta Empire, the Pala Empire, the Delhi Sultanate, the Mughal Empire, and many other empires, all called Uttar Pradesh their home at one point or another.

There were three significant princely states in Uttar Pradesh at the time of the Indian independence movement at the beginning of the 20th century. These states were Ramgadi, Rampur, and Benares. The state is home to a number of important Hindu religious sites, including temples and pilgrimage centres. Because it is home to three sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List, Uttar Pradesh is the most popular tourist destination in all of India.

Agra, Aligarh, Ayodhya, Kushinagar, Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Vrindavan are just some of the many historical, natural, and religious tourist spots that can be found in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
