Daniel Radcliffe has consistently made an effort to keep his romantic relationships entirely private over the years. But over the past ten years, the 33-year-old Harry Potter actor has grown much more comfortable talking about his 38-year-old longtime girlfriend, actress Erin Darke, with whom he is having his first child. On March 24, 2023, Erin was sighted with her unborn child in NYC while out for a stroll with Daniel.

Erin Darke: Who Is She?

Erin Darke is just as regarded and adored as an actor and creative even though she might not be quite as well-known as her partner, who shot to stardom in the first Harry Potter movie when he was just a preteen. Erin is an actor who was born on September 10, 1984. The actress began her career in a number of cameo and minor supporting parts in movies and television shows. We Need To Talk About Kevin from 2011, Young Adult, and the TV series Pan Am were among her early noteworthy appearances on the small and big screens.

Erin’s reputation was rapidly rising by the middle of the decade. She started to work on more significant projects, including the television series Good Girls Revolt and the 2018 series Dietland. Erin, however, portrayed Mary on the Emmy-winning television program The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel from 2017 to 2018. Erin has kept acting and will next be seen in the It’s A Man’s World pilot, which could turn into a television series. Oddly enough, Erin actually met and came to know Dan through acting. More on that later, but they both appeared in the 2013 movie Kill Your Darlings.

Beyond what he has publicly disclosed, very little is known about Dan’s previous romantic relationships. When the actor was scarcely a teenager, he was thrust into the spotlight. Because of this, Dan has developed and kept many close relationships throughout his life through his work on the Harry Potter movies and other projects since the last one debuted in July 2011. But as he’s aged and grown more at ease with his celebrity, Dan has revealed more about the love side of his life.

He first encountered Rosie Coker on the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part II, and they began dating in the early 2010s. Dan discussed his relationship with Rosie in his Parade feature from January 2012. Dan said at the time, “We’ve been dating for just over a year now. “Every day seems better when Rosie is here. I believe that is what it ultimately boils down to—having someone in your life who makes you happy than you ever imagined you could be. At the time, he said, “When you discover someone like Rosie, who is smart, kind, loving, and not crazy, you hang on to her.

Dan admitted that before meeting Rosie, he had “met through work every girlfriend I’ve ever had, and I generally spent a lot of time with each before we started hanging out.” We didn’t ever go on outings. The first woman I went on a date with was Rosie. Dan was still not a big lover of dating. He laughed and said, “I detested dating because I’m crap at it. I was unsure of what was suitable when it came to Rosie, such as the right date to make an attempt at a kiss. Dan began courting Erin following his breakup with Rosie.

Relationship Between Daniel Radcliffe and Erin Darke

Erin and Dan first encountered in 2012 while working on the set of the 2013 film Kill Your Darlings. Erin played Gwendolyn, and Dan portrayed real-life author Allen Ginsburg. Dan told People in April 2019 in reference to an intense sex scene the two actors had. “It’ll be a hell of a story to tell our kids one day because of what our characters do with each other,” he added. There is this kind of sweet video of us just meeting for the first time and flirting, he said. “Our characters are meeting and flirting with each other.

Dan had Erin’s complete attention. Even more so, she gushed about how mature their relationship was and how they treated one another equally in their romantic connection. As Erin explained to People in July 2018, “one of the first things we bonded over was how much we truly love what we do. There’s something that’s really beautiful and really lovely about being with someone who just innately understands that about you.” Sometimes he assists me in creating self-tapes. He reads really well, by the way. We both genuinely care about each other’s professional success.

Erin and Dan have been confined to their Manhattan flat during the COVID-19 pandemic. After nearly ten years of dating, the pair is happy with their current situation and doesn’t feel pressured to get married despite the rumors. Erin stated to Vulture in March 2020, “We’re at the point now where I’ve seen my own wedding reported several times.”

Dan finally found Erin to be his ideal match after years of trying to balance living in the limelight while trying to keep as much of a regular life as possible. “I did a number of things as a child that I considered to be extremely nerdy. In the beginning of 2020, the actor told Radio Times magazine, “I’ll never be able to do this around a female. However, when you finally discover the relationship you were meant to be in, that’s what’s so wonderful about it. I can do all of that crap, and you don’t mind, it’s like. And you genuinely believe it to be enjoyable. This is amazing!”
