Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs

- Food coloring (optional)
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until creamy.
- Add the eggs to the butter mixture, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Gradually mix in the flour mixture, alternating with the milk and vanilla extract.
- If desired, add a few drops of food coloring to the batter and mix well.
- Grease three microwave-safe bowls with cooking spray and divide the batter evenly among them.
- Microwave each bowl on high for 3-5 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of each cake comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool before stacking and frosting with your favorite frosting.
