Back in 1990, Tom Stuker bought a lifetime airline pass that lets him fly anytime for life. Since then, he’s flown 23 million miles and thinks it’s the best thing he ever bought.

Stuker, a car-dealership consultant from New Jersey, holds a remarkable record of flying 23 million miles, which some call as the most ever flown by a single person.

Back in 1990, United Airlines, a major American airline, offered a lifetime pass for $290,000 (AED 1,000,000), and Stuker wasted no time in grabbing the opportunity.

Fast forward 33 years, and Stuker finds himself often seated in his preferred spot, 1B.

Sharing his experience with the Post, Stuker revealed that once he flew from Newark to San Francisco, then on to Bangkok and Dubai, spending 12 consecutive days without sleeping in a bed, only pausing his journey in airport lounges.

Now at 69, Stuker considers his frequent travels as a savvy way to collect airline miles, calling it the “best investment of my life.”

Recognizing the value of these miles early on, Stuker didn’t just use them for flights; he also traded and sold them. In one instance, he amassed enough gift cards through miles to renovate his brother’s home, although United no longer offers such passes.

With over 100 countries visited and more than 120 honeymoons with his wife, Stuker’s loyalty hasn’t gone unnoticed by United. They consult him for their Polaris clubs’ menus and even keep a Mercedes on standby for his quick airport connections.

Even United’s representatives recognize Stuker when he calls their 800 number.

Despite seeming almost legendary, Stuker’s extraordinary experiences are a testament to the perks of his 1990s-era pass, truly making the world his oyster.
