Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, toured the 17th edition of Art Dubai, a prominent global platform showcasing art and artists from the Middle East and the Global South. The event, held at Madinat Jumeirah from 1-3 March, attracted artists and creatives from diverse backgrounds.

During his visit, His Highness emphasized the UAE’s commitment to fostering an environment where artists and creative professionals worldwide can flourish. He highlighted the country’s ethos of tolerance, openness, and inclusiveness, underscoring the importance of creative expression for the advancement of civilizations.

His Highness praised Dubai’s efforts in launching various art events that have gained global recognition, enriching the emirate’s cultural landscape and attracting top creative talent from around the world. He commended the leadership of H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, for accelerating the development of the cultural sector and elevating Dubai’s profile on the global cultural map.

Art Dubai’s evolution into a major platform for showcasing global art has contributed to Dubai’s emergence as a significant center for the global creative economy. His Highness noted that the UAE will continue launching initiatives to strengthen its position as a hub for creative industries and expand its cultural impact globally.

Accompanied by prominent officials including Mohammad Ahmad Al Murr, Abdulrahman bin Mohamed Al Owais, Essa Kazim, Mona Ghanem Al Marri, and Jamal bin Huwaireb, His Highness explored Art Dubai’s diverse offerings, including contemporary, modern, and digital gallery presentations, alongside newly commissioned works by local, regional, and international artists.
