As Harley Quinn is one of the most popular characters in DC Comics, director James Gunn will take advantage of his film Suicide Squad (2021).
A few years ago, Harley Quinn positioned herself as one of the main characters in DC Comics movies after Margot Robbie’s performance was hailed as the best of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad of 2016. However, these plans seem to have been stopped later. Birds of Prey was a small box office failure even though she was the absolute protagonist.

If filmmaker James Gunn’s work on Guardians of the Galaxy is any indication, Suicide Squad’s focus will be on the team rather than one or two main characters. But also, the behind-the-scenes video that premiered on DC FanDome promises a lighter, more cheerful, and altogether more fun outing than David Ayer’s darker first installment.
In fact, in a recent interview, Margot Robbie admitted that a great Harley Quinn action scene was one of the most exhausting things she had ever been involved in, but vowed that it will turn out to be one of the most prominent Suicide Squad sequences.
“I don’t want to spoil the story. But when you watch the movie, you’re probably halfway there. There’s a crazy sequence Harley Quinn does, which was one of the hardest things I’ve ever shot on screen. And we shot it in about four days, and I remember looking at the calendar and saying, Oh my God, we’re not going to be able to do this. This is going to be impossible. And we did it, but it was difficult, and in the end, they hit me, like they really hit me. But James Gunn was texting me earlier, and he said the scene looked terrific. Apparently, the whole sequence seems really good, so you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about when you watch the movie.”
The film will have a spectacular cast.
