Tekashi 6ix9ine Can Release From Prison Early

The rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, jailed for two years for his involvement with a fatal street gang, Nine Trey.

Recently, he requested the officials to be freed shortly from the prison as some cases of coronavirus appeared inside New York’s jail.

His lawyer Lance Lazzaro requested to Manhattan federal Judge Paul Engelmayer that he should be freed from prison early as he is not feeling well and claim that he is a patient of asthma already and very concerned regarding his health.

Lazzaro said in a statement, according to The Daily Beast: “While I understand that his discharge date is only around four months away, given the health crisis that is now tearing through this area and Mr. Hernandez’s compromised medical condition, please completely think changing Mr. Hernandez’s sentence so as to quickly make him qualified for home detention.” 

Why Tekashi 6ix9ine Actually Imprisoned?

Tekashi 6ix9ine imprisoned for two years on for his connection with Nine Trey, that fueled his rise to fame.

Daniel Hernandez, a.k.a Tekashi 6ix9ine could have been sentenced to decades in jail for offenses that included arranging a gun-firing in which an innocent was wounded. He pronounced guilty first to charges blaming him for joining the gang identified as Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

After his capture, he chose to become a star witness for prosecutors. He testified against his gang mates. The testimony helped to capture of 2 high-ranking Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods members.

Prosecutors have declared Nine Trey as one of the most severe gangs of United Bloods Nation, with members throughout the country.

In the last year’s testimony, Tekashi 6ix9ine spoke to the jurors his part in Nine Trey was “keep making hit tracks and be the monetary aid for the gang … so they could purchase guns and stuff like that”.

Asked what he got in return, he answered: “My career. I received the street credibility. The videos, the music, the security – all of the above.”

Tekashi has already completed about more than 14 months of his two-year sentence. Before cooperating with prosecutors and supplying enough information, he suffered a minimum of 37 years in jail.

He is deemed to fulfill his sentence on July 31.
