After the Season 1 finale on Wednesday, “Reincarnated as a Sword” Season 2 was finally revealed. Action-fantasy anime Series “Reincarnated as a Sword”  will continue to be produced by studio C2C and is based on the light novel written by Yu Tanaka. Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2 has not yet received a release date. Shinji Ishihara was in charge of directing the anime at C2C. The screenplays were written and edited by Takahiro Nagano, the writer of the Duel Masters series. Atsuki Sait, the head of the animation, created the characters. Yasuharu Takanashi composed the music for the film.

“Reincarnated as a Sword”  light novel

“Reincarnated as a Sword ”, written by Tanaka and illustrated by Leo, first appeared in 2015 as an online book on the Shsetsuka ni Nar website. The series wasn’t picked up by Micro Magazine until 2016 and didn’t start publishing until then. Reincarnated as a Sword has continued since then and currently has 14 volumes available. The English rights to the series were purchased by US-based publisher Seven Seas Entertainment in 2019; since then, the first 10 volumes have been made available in print and digital formats, with volumes 11 and 12 (both physical releases) scheduled for December 27 and May 16, 2023, respectively.

A young beast girl is set free from a life of slavery by a mystical sword that was reincarnated as a sentient weapon with memories of past life but not his name. Fran, the cat-eared girl who takes control of him, merely wants to get stronger; the sword, on the other hand, is curious as to why he is in this place. The journey of the odd pair has only just begun! Fans of the popular light novel series and brand-new readers who are up for a smart fantasy story will both adore this Manga adaptation of the series, which boasts endearing artwork by manga artist Tomowo Maruyama.

Manga of “Reincarnated as a Sword” 

The light novel series’ manga adaptation debuted in 2017 and has now seen the publication of 12 volumes. Seven Seas Entertainment also publishes the manga in English and has released the first 9 volumes with the next set to release on April 25, 2023. “Reincarnated as a Sword: Another Wish” is a spin-off manga that Seven Seas is also releasing. “Reincarnated as a Sword”  has been adapted into 3 different manga. The first manga was written by Hiroaki Hanada and drawn by Tomo Arisaka, the lead character designer of the series.

The second manga titled “Reincarnated as a Sword: Another Wish” was written by Hiroki Katô, who is also one of the series’ scenario writers, and drawn by Kouji Murata. This manga features stories about other characters who weren’t seen in the anime or light novels. The third manga titled “Reincarnated as a Sword: Another Fate” was written by Asato Kōzuki and drawn by Ryo Mizunagi.

When will the second season of the anime air?

Studio C2C will continue developing the action-fantasy anime series “Reincarnated as a Sword”, based on the Yu Tanaka light novel. No date has been set for the release of “Reincarnated as a Sword” Season 2.
