The kaiju monster is back. Actor Rebecca Hall teased fans with the story of “Godzilla vs Kong 2” which is the sequel of “Godzilla Vs. Kong (2021)”. This is going to be epic because we know Godzilla is the king of the beast and Kong wants to live happily. In the first Film, we saw the faces of these two kaiju and they destroyed half of the city. We also know the origin story of how these monsters are on earth. The sequel is directed by Adam Wingard who is already the director of this franchise. Because of Wingard, we can see the face-off between Godzilla and King Kong. Warner Bros is giving the green light for the sequel and the writer is working on the script. In this movie, the threat is more significant than in the previous film. Because in this movie we’re gonna see the Collision type of kaiju which is going to fight Godzilla and Kong.

Who is Godzilla? 

In November 2016, the film Godzilla: Resurgence was released in Japan. This was the first Japanese Godzilla film released since 1984. Hollywood’s Americanized version of Godzilla did not do well at the box office (only making $379 million on a $160 million budget). Due to this, it is unlikely that another Americanized version will be made any time soon. However, there has been a resurgence of Godzilla films in Japan. Four have been released so far. The most recent, “Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle (2018)”, is the third in a trilogy and is expected to be followed by two more films in the trilogy.

Who is King Kong? 

“Godzilla vs Kong ” (also known as Godzilla: King of the Monsters) is a 1998 American/Japanese monster film and a remake of the 1933 film of the same name, closely adapted from Ed Schuyler’s novel, “King Kong vs. Godzilla”. It was directed by Roland Emmerich and stars Naomi Watts as Elle, who not only battles Godzilla but also her evil twin sister, who was created in an experiment gone wrong. It was released on May 16, 1998. The film was intended to kick-start an American Godzilla franchise but ultimately failed to do so. The film’s financial failure led to TriStar Pictures’ decision not to produce any further American-made Godzilla films. 

What is the difference in this franchise? 

In this franchise, the major change is the origin of Godzilla and King Kong. As we know the origin of Godzilla like Mozilla was created with the reaction of the atomic bomb which was tested by the army. but due to contact and reaction, Godzilla looks like this. But in this movie, we saw very different origins like they are on earth from the start even when there is no human.             

Release date

The release date is not confirmed yet. The production starts in December and the movie will be released at the end of  2023.
