The Saw Series is a long-running horror franchise created by James Wan and Leigh Whannell, which tells the story of a deranged serial killer who traps his victims in sadistic puzzles to play games of attrition with them. The series focuses on protagonist John Kramer, better known as Jigsaw. The Film has grossed a worldwide total of $76.2 million, and several follow-up films have been confirmed to be in development. Tobin Bell has been cast as Jigsaw in the proposed fifth screen installment of the franchise directed by Kevin Greutert and written by Wan and Whannell. In an interview with MTV News, Bell said he was already signed on to star as the character when “The Final Chapter” was announced, and he left his previous commitments to take on the role.

The plot of the third installment is in every way different from the conventional Saw sequels. The story begins with a man who wakes up tied to a pipe in a white room with no idea where he is and no memory of his past. The film begins with Detective Mark Hoffman (Costas Mandylor) who is investigating Jigsaw’s dead body, found dead at a warehouse.
