Tokyo Vice: Watch Out HBO Max’s Japanese Crime Series

If you’re a fan of crime dramas, Tokyo Vice is one show you won’t want to miss. The series just debuted on HBO Max and is already making waves. Tokyo Vice is based on the true story of Jake Adelstein, an American journalist who became immersed in the dark underworld of Tokyo’s criminal justice system.

Anthony Bourdain is making his scripted TV debut. The Parts Unknown host, who produced the eight-episode drama Tokyo Vice, based on Jake Adelstein’s memoir of the same name, has landed a straight-to-series order at HBO Max for the hourlong project. The news comes less than a month after an extended trailer was released. A premiere date has not yet been determined though HBO Max formerly known as Project Ray is slated to bow this fall.
