This past weekend, the cast of Grace and Frankie gathered together to celebrate the upcoming launch of Season 7. The star-studded event was attended by Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, and many more!  The two leading ladies posed for pictures with fans and grabbed a cocktail before sitting down to watch the new season. Grace and Frankie is one of our favorite shows, so we are excited about its return. 

Joining the two actresses at the celebration were several other stars. Actors including Rosie O’Donnell, RuPaul, and Brooke Shields all attended the event to support their friends. Sharon Stone also made appearances in many of the cast photos and videos.

This series will be released in March 2022. Also, the series has already been confirmed to be 8 episodes. During the party, a great many GIFs were posted on social media. Here are some of our favorites.

The series was also nominated for the 2018 Golden Globe Award for Best TV Series – Musical or Comedy and was nominated in 2018 for the Primetime Emmy Award of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

The plot of the eighth and final season of the comedy series was revealed at the Celebration premiere party. Jane Fonda’s character, Frankie, has just returned to L.A. after being in New York City for a while with her ex-husband (Martin Sheen) and kids, who have since grown up.

Now that she’s back home, she is trying to find herself in her 50s and make a new life for herself with her best friend Lily Tomlin (who was celebrating her 79th birthday recently) as well as their neighbor in Los Angeles Dolly Parton (who is also Fonda’s real-life friend).

Season 4 is coming out in March. What are your thoughts on the show so far?

The thoughts are really good. I really like the series and I am waiting for Season 4 in March. The opinion is that everything will be perfect and the show will be more interesting than seasons 1, 2 and 3.

I believe that Season 5 will be better than all other seasons for a variety of reasons, largely because it’s the last chance to make things right and it should have been much better than previous seasons. My favorite season is Season 2 because I love to see the friendship between Grace and Frankie even more than that between Frankie and Frances. Also, I like Lily Tomlin’s character in this season.

What do you think about the new cast members joining the show for Season 4?

Frankie’s grandson, the Coyote, is played by Ethan Embry. Sophia’s husband and Grace’s son, Coyote Bergstein is a young software executive who was born in New York and raised in California. 

Coyote’s father left when he was a boy, so he and his mother have always been close. The show already had a great cast and it would be very complicated for it to get better, but I think that Coyote is the best character in this season. He looks very charismatic, and beautiful.

Who’s your favorite character on the show (so far)?

I like characters which you can remember by their unique appearance. For example, Carey Mulligan is really beautiful in the movie Inside Llewyn Davis, and she is also very charming as well. So I was excited to see her as Frankie’s daughter Mallory in Grace and Frankie Season 4.

Frankie’s husband Robert Hanson is played by Sam Waterston. Sam Waterston is a very good actor, so he has a lot of fans around the world. Likewise, people are looking forward to seeing him in Grace and Frankie Season 4, coming out in March.

What do you think will happen in Season 4 now that Grace and Frankie?

I think that all the characters will have to live up to their responsibilities and the fun, carefree attitude which characterized the show in the earlier seasons.  The show is a good example of how women can speak through comedy, and how by watching women we can become aware of problems in our own lives as well. I also think it is a great opportunity for viewers to go deeper into issues that affect today’s world.

I like Lily Tomlin’s character Frankie because she is very simple, funny and lively and she has a strong character. She really wants to be a good friend to Frankie at all times and sometimes when there is no one who understands her Frankie will be left alone.

Are there any particular episodes from previous seasons that you enjoyed watching?

I like the episode titled “Mr. Woodcock” because it shows the friendship between Frankie and Robert after their divorce. Similarly, I thought that the scenes with Grace and Frank were very touching in Season 2 Episode 9. I think that is one of the best episodes from this series so far.
