It’s nearly time for the season finale of Season 10 of Call the Midwife, but the show has some exciting stuff to look forward to in 2019! This series will be released on 20 March 2022. Also, the series has a total of 8 seasons, the last season was premiered and ended. The midwives of Nonnatus House are back in London for Season 10, and they’re feeling a bit bruised and battered. The nurses have settled back into the convent after their harrowing adventure to the displaced person camp, but things haven’t been easy at home. 

The nuns are struggling with a new governmental structure that’s threatening their funding, and major changes are brewing in store for the nursing profession. This season will focus on relationships, as Jenny receives unsettling news about her marriage; Trixie tries to reconcile with her parents; Cynthia is nervous about her future with Frank.

The plot of Call the Midwife’ Season 11 talked about the life of the nurses and nuns at Nonnatus House. All the major characters like Jenny, Trixie, Cynthia, and George will be in prominent roles in this season.

According to a share from Joanne Froggatt (Trixie), Season 11 will focus on relationships. The actress told Entertainment Weekly that Trixie is “in turmoil” about her marriage to Bill, which has been strained since his return from a tour of duty stateside.

What are some of the challenges that come with filming a period drama?

The major challenge of “Call the Midwife” is that it is set in the mid-60s, and the actors are dealing with a lot of period makeup, costumes, and hairstyles that are not easy to obtain. 

Catherine Nesbitt, who plays midwife Jenny alludes how the weather, or lack thereof, adds to the challenges of filming a period drama: “There were two very cold winters…and then this spring came along where it melted all the snow from the pavement. So we just had to keep a bucket filled with water to sweep up every time we got back.
