PETER RABBIT 2: The Plot, Cast, Expectations, Reviews And Ratings!

Peter Rabbit will be back for the fans. This time around it seems that the filmmakers are really trying to capture the essence of Beatrix Potter’s original story.

ABOUT PETER RABBIT MOVIE :

Peter Rabbit has grown up a lot since we last saw him in 2005. He now has a family – a wife named Flopsy and three children: Mopsy, Cotton-tail, and Benjamin Bunny (from his onetime marriage to Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle). Peter Rabbit and his friends are playing in Mr. McGregor’s garden when he comes home earlier than expected. We see the story through the eyes of a very nervous, but clever rabbit who has to find a way out; meanwhile, all of his companions are captured by an old man with bad intentions for them.

RELEASE DATE:

THE PLOT:

While Peter Rabbit is out in the garden, he meets a new character named Thomas McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson) who has taken over Mr. McGregor’s vegetables with his gang of tough rabbits led by Scrapper Joe (Sam Rockwell).

PETER RABBIT was a success among critics but failed to catch on with audiences in the U.S., grossing just $174 million, and it’s a bit hard to understand why. The story is really good, the jokes are funny, but there just wasn’t enough of those little moments that would have made this film better than what it turned out to be.

PLOT is a classic story of good versus evil with Peter Rabbit encountering dangerous creatures along the way to his ultimate goal which leads him into a battle he never expected.

THE STARRING CAST:

James Corden (Peter Rabbit), Daisy Ridley (Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle, Bea and Aunt Lucy); Margot Robbie; Elizabeth Debicki; Sia Furler

James Corden stars as the voice of Peter Rabbit, a rebellious and mischievous bunny who has been running wild in Mr. McGregor’s garden since he was little. This time around, rather than sneaking into his enemy’s garden to steal vegetables (as well as other things), Peter is more interested in finding a handsome new mate.

Margot Robbie voices Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle, the timid and kind hedgehog; Daisy Ridley is Aunt Lucy who has a caring heart but can be quite cross with her nephew Peter; Elizabeth Debicki voices Bea, a high society bunny from London whose family are considered royalty amongst their peers.

PRODUCTION:

Peter Rabbit was filmed in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. The production budget is $70 million. PETER RABBIT was filmed at Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire, England; at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, London and on location around the UK.

RATINGS:

The film is rated PG for some action and rude humor. It’s not too bad, but it does have a lot of violence as well as jokes about murder, death, eating people’s skin, and cannibalism. RATINGS have been met with an overall B CinemaScore from audiences. PETER RABBIT has been well received by both children and parents alike! It is currently at an average rating of five.
