Call Of Duty Film Is Now Delayed, When The Film Will Hit The Cinemas

Call Of Duty Film Is Now Delayed, According To The Writer

According to one of the writers, the movie Call of Duty is currently in activism. In today’s time  Call of Duty is one of the most popular video game franchises. First published by Activision in 2003, the first-person shooter series has released a total of 16 games. In fact, Call of Duty games won seven of the ten best-selling games of the last decade.

Activision Blizzard Studios first announced in November 2015 that they would develop a cinematic universe based on the Call of Duty game franchise. The Film was initially released in 2019. In 2018, it was announced that Stefano Sollima, the director of Sicario: Day of Soldado, was chosen to direct the film. Sollima said during an interview with Sources that it would be a “real movie.” Later in 2018, Black Panther writer Joe Robert Cole was hired by Activision to write the sequel. Since then, however, there has been a lack of significant updates about the film, which missed the 2019 launch window.

During a recent interview with the Italian cinema website Badtaste, director and writer Stefano Sollima stated that the movie Call of Duty is currently in progress. While Solima wrote a script with Scott Silver (Joker), the movie Call of Duty is no longer a priority for activation. Solima also said the project is “limited.”

It has been more than four years

Since Activision Blizzard Studios first announced the film. Despite occasional news updates, the project was delayed and lost several anticipated release dates. At one point, Stacey Sher, co-president of the studio, said that although the film draws themes from different Call of Duty entries, it would differ from the game itself. At another time, Solima also expressed interest in working with Tom Hardy and Chris Pine on the project.

After all the delays and interruptions, the movie Call of Duty seems unlikely in the short term. Since the study first announced its desire to create a cinematic universe, several other studios have tried to do something similar, with different levels of success. Marvel Cinematic Universe is clearly the most popular (and successful), but others like Legendary’s MonsterVerse and Universal’s Dark Universe are not as profitable.

While some COD fans may be upset

It may be a blessing in disguise. In addition to a small number of qualities (all can be counted on one hand), the vast majority of video game movie adaptations are due. Although the future of the Call of Duty Film universe seems unlikely at this time, fans still have many video game entries to wait.
