Do You See ‘Two’ Ruffalos? The Transformation Of Mark Ruffalo To Play Twin Brothers

Here’s twin Mark Ruffalo’s in the first image of HBO’s ‘I Know This Is True.’

Mark Ruffalo is doing double work as a pair of identical twins in the upcoming HBO limited series I Know This Is True, which will be released in April.  The official Twitter account of the network shared the first image of Ruffalo as Dominick and Thomas Birdsey in character.
Based on the novel of the same name by Wally Lamb, the series follows the twins “in a family saga that follows their parallel lives in an epic story of betrayal, sacrifice, and forgiveness. The series follows different stages in their lives. Show Dominick and Thomas, who are currently approaching the middle ages of the two brothers, with memories of Dominick as his young adult. They are full of security. “

Currently, in an interview, Ruffalo about his movie Dark Waters and the actor revealed some details about his double role in I Don’t It Much Is True.

“I play two characters. One of the similar brothers, one of them, has schizophrenia. We stopped shooting for six weeks so that I could gain 30 pounds and completely change my appearance and character for the schizophrenic brother. And he [director Derek Cianfrance]  he does some very bold things about it, and I don’t want to get too far ahead, but when we filmed it, he was very proud”.

Ruffalo also shared some details about how challenging the “brutally hard shooting” was since Cianfrance had a habit of taking the film for a long time.”

“The first day of work was a 23-page scene,” said the actor.  “We spent the whole day filming that scene and again from beginning to end.  You can give us a note, maybe in a section, but we start from the beginning and shoot everything.  And it was a 25-minute scene.  And that was our first day of filming.  This is how we break everyone … it’s so emotionally liberating.  He creates a place where he wants you to fuck.  He wants you to push the limits.  You always feel like you’re just stumbling on a guy.  You are never standing  You are not standing, you are always a little out of control, which gives you immediacy.”

Avenger Paul Rudd, Rufalo’s partner, also recently played two characters on the same television show, in a very different context in Netflix’s Living with Yourself, and until he  At the time when his roles were not discussed, Ruffalo has nothing but praise for Rudd.
“It’s amazing in that,” he said.
The shows also star Melissa Leo, Rosie O’Donnell, Archie Punjabi, Imogen Poots, Rob Huebel, Guillermo Díaz, Bruce Greenwood, Juliette Lewis, and Katheryn Hahn.
