Jalandhar:- The mother-child department of the Civil Hospital has stood in the dock on the death of a pregnant woman of Ghoda Bahi village of Bhogpur. Jalandhar Welfare Society head Surinder Saini had complained to Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar to investigate the matter. After this, Dr. S. Aggarwal, CEO of Smart City Project started investigation on Wednesday.

Surinder Saini said that despite having all the facilities in the Hospital, the family of the patient kept wandering with him, but the team of Mother and Child Department investigated the investigation and sent him to the Government Medical College Amritsar.

After coming from there, the patient after three private hospitals again put him on a ventilator in the civil hospital and the unborn child and mother died. He said that if the pregnant woman had got this facility earlier, perhaps two lives would have survived.

On Wednesday, statements were also made by Dr. Kulwinder Kaur, the SMO of the mother-child department and Dr. BPS Randhawa, the SMO of CHC Adampur. CHC Kala Bakra also called for pregnant woman’s record. Apart from this, instructions have been given to the patient to call a report on treatment facilities in Government Medical College Amritsar.

This is not the first case when the functioning of a civil hospital is being questioned. Even before this, the doctors and staff of the civil hospital have been accused of negligence.
However, every time they are given a clean chit after investigation. Now what action will be taken in this case, it will be known only after investigation.
