Asma an MBA pass residing in Friends Colony with her extile businessman husband Vikas Rana, committed suicide due to a mutual dispute. Asma hangs herself on Monday night.Whereas Vikas has come under the train on Tuesday.On receipt of the information, the maternal living in Raiya reached Jalandhar. Then Vikas was missing from home. The police had started a search on Monday night on the complaint of father-in-law Roop Lal Kalia, by registering a case of forcing suicide against son-in-law Vikas Rana.

On Tuesday, information came that Vikas too died before jumping in front of the train at Phillaur. Earlier, Vikas was accused that he was pressurizing his wife Asma to rejoin the Lecturer job at APJ College, on Hoshiarpur Road. But Asma did not want to do the job. Because she could not give time to her 6 and 7 year old daughters.
Meanwhile, Ludhiana GRP SHO Balvir Singh Ghumman confirmed the suicide of textile trader Vikas Rana, a resident of Raiya, saying that on Tuesday morning, Keyman reported to GRP Phillaur after seeing the corpse on the railway track in Phillaur. The dead body has been identified. Rana family has been called on Wednesday to investigate further. On the other hand, SHO of Thana-1 Rajesh Kumar also said that the suicide of Vikas Rana has been reported.
