Yeah! You heard it right peeps. Google completely rebranded its Android OS by dropping off the dessert names from now onwards. 

All in all, Google changed its upcoming Android OS name to Android 10 officially. This version was previously known as Android Q but now, no more sweetness.

It’s quite sad for the Android fans as the days are gone when Google was using dessert names for its mobile operating system versions.

The reason behind making such a huge change is told by Google officials. Android as Google’s official operating system was not so popular throughout the world. Android wasn’t recognized in many markets across the globe just because of dessert centric names.

Dessert names are suitable for desserts only. To make Android visible throughout the world, it was necessary to change the name from desserts to OS’s version number.
