Brian Acton initialized WhatsApp with Jan Koum. Facebook got the messaging service about four years back for $22 billion. Acton left a year ago from Facebook, and Koum quit the company in April.

On Wednesday, in an interview with Forbes, Acton declared that Zuckerberg was very much interested in earning money from the messaging service and in eroding elements of its encryption technology, reported by CNBC.

Instead of Acton for his claim, David Marcus of Facebook told the universal roll-out of encryption at end-to-end on WhatsApp occurred after the development with the support of Zuckerberg.

David Marcus ran messaging products of Facebook before initializing the blockchain group at the beginning of this year.

Marcus posted his personal views post in Facebook agreeing that Jan Koum played a key role in convincing Mark of the importance of the encryption, but from that point on, that had never questioned.

He also added that from Mark’s view the Whatsapp was a private messaging application, and encryption helped to ensure that message sent and received by the people were private.

On a Business model, Marcus said: “ Zuckerberg protected WhatsApp for a long period.”

He also added that Acton actively slow-played the execution of a paid messaging service.

Facebook got another grade up this week when founders of Instagram left the company on Monday.

Instagram was founded by Mike Krieger and Kevin Systrom in 2010 and was bought by Facebook for $1 billion in 2012.
