On 4th June, Spain and Andorra will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Spain and Andorra, there will be a reception at the Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre (FNMT), the National Mint and stamp manufacturer in Madrid on June 4. This occasion will be chaired by the Ambassador of the Principality in Madrid, Jaume Gaytán.

The event will be attended by the Head of Government, Toni Martí, and the President of the Spanish Government, Mariano Rajoy. The program will include a concert of the pianist and composer Jordi Barceló accompanied by the saxophonist Efren Roca and the opening of the exhibition Andorran Euros which were coined by the Spanish mint (Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre).

In 1993, after the approval of the Constitution in Andorra and the admission to the United Nations, Andorra and Spain signed a Tri-partite Agreement together with France of Good Neighbours, Friendship and Cooperation. So far diplomacy between the two states has led to signing 39 treaties or memorandums of understanding and strong relations.
