The Corinth Canal in Greece is the world’s deepest man-made canal, with walls towering 79m (260 ft) tall and some areas as narrow as only 25m (82 ft) wide.
Engineering geologist, Haris Saraglou, checks out the canal to make sure it is stable for large ships like this 195m (640 ft) long cruise ship, the largest ship to ever try to cross the canal.
