The AI Platform Alliance has been established with the intention of promoting the widespread adoption of AIenhancing the openness, efficiency, and sustainability of AI platforms. This consortium is bringing together several companies, including Ampere, Cerebras Systems, Furiosa, Graphcore, Kalray, Kinara, Luminous, Neuchips, Rebellions, and Sapeon, to collaborate on achieving this goal. Furthermore, it is anticipated that more participants will join this initiative in the near future.

One of the key objectives of the Alliance is to optimize the hardware used for AI, making it more power-efficient and cost-effective compared to GPUs (graphics processing units). By doing so, the Alliance hopes to deliver enhanced overall performance in AI applications. To achieve this, the members of the AI Platform Alliance will work collectively to validate joint AI solutions that offer a superior alternative to the existing GPU-based approach.
