Lava, the Indian smartphone brand, is showing no signs of slowing down its momentum in 2022. With the launch of over six new models this year, Lava is now teasing the arrival of the Lava Blaze 2 5G, the 5G variant of the previously released Lava Blaze 2. While an official date has not been confirmed, the smartphone is expected to be launched next month.
The design of the Lava Blaze 2 5G has been revealed through a real-life image sharedtipster Sudhanshu Ambhore. The image showcases a circular camera module housing two camera sensors and an LED flash, along with the ’50MP AI Camera’ branding. The smartphone will be available in a blue color variant and will feature a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C port, and a speaker grille at the bottom.
In terms of specifications, the device is rumored to sport an LCD panel with a centered punch-hole cutout for the camera. While the refresh rate of the panel is yet to be confirmed, it is expected to be either 120Hz or 90Hz. Under the hood, the Lava Blaze 2 5G will be poweredthe MediaTek Dimensity 6020 processor, the same chipset found in Lava’s recently launched Blaze Pro 5G.
The device is said to have a single 50MP AI camera along with an additional sensor and will support 18W fast charging. However, details regarding the battery capacity are currently unknown. It is expected that the smartphone will be available in two variants: one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of UFS 2.2 storage, and another with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
As for the price, the Lava Blaze 2 5G is rumored to start at a price tag of Rs 9,000 to Rs 10,000 in India, aiming to undercut the Itel P55 5G, which is currently the most affordable 5G smartphone in India priced below Rs 10,000.
With its continuous stream of new models and entry into the 5G market, Lava is striving to offer affordable and feature-rich smartphones to Indian consumers.
