Casio America Inc. has unveiled the GWGB1000 MUDMASTER flagship watch, the newest member of its Master of G line. Inspiredthe spirit of adventure embracedoverlanding enthusiasts, the design of the watch is influencedthe rugged and solid appearance of off-road vehicles and survival gear.
The GWGB1000 timepieces in the Master of G line feature a new guard structure that incorporates components made with different materials. Forged stainless steel with a diamond-like-carbon (DLC) coating is used for the bezel ring, upper and lower bezel guards, and front button guard, while carbon fiber-reinforced resin is used for the left and right side button guards. With their combination of materials, these watches offer exceptional durability and a robust exterior build.
The line includes three analog-digital combination watches: GWGB1000-1A, GWGB1000-1A4, and GWGB1000-3A. Each watch draws inspiration from the earth, with bio-based resin watchbands showcasing shades of grey, maroon, and forest green. This color scheme embodies the toughness and ruggedness of the Master of G line.
The GWGB1000 MUDMASTER is designed specifically for the harshest conditions. The buttons are protectedcylindrical stainless-steel parts and equipped with gasket fittings, while the crown features a screw-lock construction to prevent mud and dust contamination. The module incorporates αGEL to enhance vibration resistance. This watch is a true embodiment of the G-SHOCK absolute toughness DNA and is ideal for professional use.
The case back of the GWGB1000 MUDMASTER features the Carbon Core Guard logo, highlighting the shock-resistant structure that leverages the properties of carbon fiber. The watch also includes additional features such as Tough Solar (solar-powered), Multi-Band 6 radio-controlled timekeeping, Triple Sensor (Altimeter/Barometer, Thermometer, Compass), and Smartphone Link connectivity via the CASIO Watches app.
The GWGB1000 MUDMASTER is equipped with G-SHOCK technology, including shock resistance, 200M water resistance, solar power, Bluetooth® smartphone link, auto LED light, countdown timer, stopwatch, and world time. The watch will retail for $800 and will be available starting October 13th at select retailers, gshock.casio.com, and the G-SHOCK Soho store.
