According to sources, a fleet of Chetak helicopters had taken off from Jodhpur on Tuesday afternoon for Pokhran firing range.
70 km from Jodhpur in Balesar, one of these helicopters developed some technical problem and resorted to an emergency landing in an open field behind the court building in the town.
Along with this helicopter, another helicopter also landed to assist the former one and take care of the pilots.
Confirming the emergency landing, army sources said that an army helicopter carried out a precautionary landing in Balesar during its training flight in the afternoon.
A team of technical experts from Jodhpur rushed to the spot and cordoned the entire spot so that the curious people of the town could not get closure to the helicopters.
