VARANASI: Giving a clear indication of the formation of a new political outfit – Samajwadi Secular Morcha – if the differences in Samajwadi Party continue to grow, senior SP leader Shivpal Yadav has said that he is travelling in UP to unite the “neglected” Samajwadi leaders and workers to form the SSM and fight for social justice.

“Humne ek mauka diya hai ki pura pariwar ikattha ho aur Netaji ko fir se samman mile. Agar nahi to Samajwadi Secular Morcha Netaji ke netritwa mein jald hi banayenge aur samajik nyaya ki ladayi ladenge,” (We have given them a chance to end the differences in the family, come together and give respect to the SP patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav. If it does not happen, we will form the front led by Netaji to fight for social justice),” said Shivpal without naming anyone.

He was on a two-day visit to Azamgarh on Thursday and Friday to attend some programmes. Talking to reporters, he said that he is with Mulayam Singh Yadav and wanted others to reunite and give ‘samman’ to Netaji. “We are giving them a chance to put the house in order. Agar differences nahi hota to pradesh mein Samajwadi sarkar hoti. It is the disintegration in the party that brought such a situation,” he said.

“I am travelling in the state and meeting people. I will continue travelling in next one and a half months before forming the Morcha,” he said, adding that he is getting tremendous support from people.

“SP mein jo upekshit the unko ikattha karenge aur secular morcha banayenge, aur garibon, kisano, vyapariyon, samajik nyaya ki ladai ladenge” (We will unite those who have been neglected in the party to form the secular morcha and fight for poor, farmers, traders and social justice),” he said.

Replying to a query whether Mulayam Singh Yadav would accept the offer of the Governor’s post, he said that there was no such offer and even if it comes, he (MSY) will not accept it. “Netaji will never accept any such offer,” he added.

Apparently showing a soft stand to Aditya Nath Yogi government, Shivpal said that he will not speak against the government’s performance in next six months. “The government has just come with its first budget. Abhi to kaam bhi shuru nahi hua hai. It will take some time to utilize the budget,” he said, but added that the law and order needs to be improved, as the incidents of crime have increased.

Regarding the fate of ‘Mahagathbandhan’ (grand alliance) of opposition parties, Shivpal said that there was no ‘mahagathbandhan’ in real terms in the country. “Such a situation would have never arisen if the grand alliance was formed under the leadership of Netaji,” he said.
