The drama took place in full public view when Chetan Yadav, a resident of Tonk Phatak area of the city jumped into the pond to kill self. However, the Police and other teams reached the area and rescued him. The police took him to a hospital where doctors discharged him after initial treatment.
“He said that he was suspended from the government services, but we have to ascertain his claims. Also, he claimed that his parents are old and ailing and that he was suffering from several problems,” said Amber police station house officer Narendra Kumar, he also said that the man attempted to commit suicide as he was under Severe Depression.
“He had several problems due to which he may have been under tremendous pressure, and tried to commit suicide. We are taking it as a case of depression,” Kumar told TOI.
In another case in Sodala a 21-year-old youth Hari Burman hanged himself to death as he was under severe depression due to the illness of his parents. Kallu Khan, the sub inspector of Sodala Police station added that on Friday night, Burman’s body was handed over to his brother after the post mortem.
“He had come from West Bengal to work in the city, he was working at a hotel as a waiter. He was under severe depression due to his parent’s health,” Khan said, adding he hanged self-inside his room in Sodala,” the police said, adding that he was depressed and killed self.
