Motorola’s next affordable foldable phone could feature a full-screen 165Hz display

Motorola is expected to launch its next flagship mid-range foldable smartphone, the Razr 50 series, later this year. However, several leaked images of the upcoming smartphone have already surfaced online. These leaked images reveal the design of the Moto Razr 50 series smartphone and suggest that the foldable smartphone will have a much larger screen than its predecessor.

A post shared by Evan Blass on social media site X (formerly Twitter) shows the phone from all angles.

The Motorola Razr 50 and Razr 50 Pro replace last year’s Moto Razr 40 and Razr 40 Pro (Razr 40 Ultra in North America). Apart from this, there are also rumors that the smartphone could receive further improvements in terms of performance and looks.

Moto Razr 50 Series : What to Expect

According to a report from PhoneArena, Motorola’s next foldable phone is expected to be cheaper than other flagship foldable phones in several markets. The report also claims that the company may launch the foldable smartphone in June.

According to rumors, the affordable Moto Razr 50 could come with a simple 6.9-inch POLED display that supports a resolution of 1080p and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Meanwhile, the smartphone is expected to come with a 3.6-inch POLED overlay display, which may also support a 120Hz refresh rate.

This smartphone is likely to come with an unannounced MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chipset. For photography, the Moto Razr 50 has a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide unit, and a 32-megapixel internal selfie camera. The smartphone may also come with a 4200mAh battery.

The more expensive Razr 50 Plus (Razr Ultra 2024 in the US) is expected to feature a 165Hz main display and be powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. The Plus version is also said to come with a 4-inch screen and a 50-megapixel dual rear camera.

For selfies, the Ultra model has a 32MP internal camera and may also have a small 4000mAh battery.
