X user Gauraang Arora spotted a new screen titled “Check for additional apps” that appears during the OnePlus 12’s startup process. This screen shows the four Google Play apps that are preselected by default: LinkedIn, Policybazaar, Block Blast, and Candy Crush Saga. These programs ran under the title “From OnePlus”.

Android Authority recently tested the boot process in three regions and found that the Indian version of the OnePlus 12 running the latest Oxygen OS 14.0.610 has four pre-selected apps during installation. All these meta apps were already included in the OnePlus 8 series and the brand was criticized for not being able to easily uninstall them from the phone.

The company added that it will keep OxygenOS bloatware free, but confirmed that the OnePlus Nord CE 4 comes with two apps pre-installed: Instagram and Agoda. It’s also easy to uninstall or remove apps, and the company works closely with app developers to improve the performance of OnePlus devices.
