Samsung announced the release of the new Galaxy F55 some time ago. The company recently released a microsite on its official website in India and finally confirmed the phone’s official launch details.

According to Samsung’s official press release, the Galaxy F55 is scheduled to launch in India on May 17. The phone will be sold on Flipkart, Samsung’s official website and authorized retail stores across the country.

Before the official announcement, Samsung has already revealed some details and features about the phone.

The main highlight of the Galaxy F55 is the vegan leather back with a unique stitching pattern. Moreover, Samsung has also confirmed the color options of the upcoming smartphones – Apricot Crush and Raisin Black.

Also, Samsung claims that the Galaxy F55 is the thinnest leather smartphone in its segment.

Several leaks and rumors related to the smartphone have already revealed the expected specifications of the phone. The phone is expected to feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Plus (1080 x 2400 pixels) resolution display. The phone is also said to have a 120Hz refresh rate.

The phone is rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, the same chip used in the recently launched Galaxy M55.
The smartphone is expected to have a 50MP main sensor, two secondary sensors and a 50MP front-facing camera.

The phone is said to have a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging, and also runs One UI and the latest version of Android.
