Redmi Note 13 5G series is ready for Hyperos update in India. The company announced the development on Friday, confirming that the base model and Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus models will all receive an update to move to Xiaomi’s latest Android 14-based UI.
It is worth noting that the Chinese smartphone brand launched HyperOS UI in India in February this year. The new interface will work on the company’s smartphones, smart home devices and electric vehicles.
The company announced the launch of HyperOS in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday. According to the smartphone maker, the HyperOS update is rolling out to Redmi Note 13 series users in the country. However, it may take several days for all users to receive the update. The Redmi Note 12 series will also be updated in the future.
HyperOS brings new features to the Redmi Note 13 5G series, including lock screen customization, a new Control Center, and updated icons and fonts. The user interface has also been significantly improved. The latest update also includes new productivity features such as Workstation Mode for tablets and the ability to connect to the Xiaomi ecosystem.
For example, users can now view their phone screen on a tablet. The Xiaomi Smart Hub allows users to see all smart home devices installed in their home and acts as a unified control center.
Xiaomi published the list of eligible smartphones for the HyperOS update in the second quarter of 2024 (April-June) in an update.
The list of eligible smartphones includes Xiaomi 11 Lite, Xiaomi 11i, Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge, Xiaomi 11T Pro, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 10, Redmi K50i, Redmi 12, Redmi 11 Prime, Redmi 13C series and Redmi Note 1. . Apart from this, the Xiaomi Pad 5 has also been confirmed to receive the update.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco also announced a list of eligible smartphones that will receive HyperOS updates during the same period. These smartphones include Poco F4, Poco M4 Pro, Poco C65, Poco M6 and Poco X6 Neo.
