Udaipur: On Wednesday, the Udaipur team of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested a broker, Kamlesh Pokharna, while taking a bribe of Rs 80,000 from the complainant for the release of a JCB and tractor seized by the Vallabhnagar Police Station in Udaipur district.

Vikram Singh Rathore, Additional Superintendent of Police, ACB Udaipur team said that the complainant had lodged a complaint that Bajrang Singh Meena, a police constable at Vallabhnagar police station, was demanding a bribe of Rs 1.5 lakh through his broker Kamlesh Pokharna in the name of himself and the SHO for the release of the seized JCB and tractor.

The ACB Udaipur team verified the complaint and laid a trap, arresting the broker Kamlesh while taking a bribe of Rs 80,000. Police constable Bajrang Singh Meena fled the scene after getting wind of the ACB action. He is being searched for. The role of the SHO is also being investigated in this case.
