iQoo may be working on a new smartphone after the iQoo Neo 9 Pro introduced earlier this year. According to a Chinese tipster, the smartphone maker could be equipped with the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor used in sub-brand Vivo’s flagship iQoo 12. The company has not yet announced any plans. More specifications of the smartphone have also been leaked online, including the new Neo series phone, its display, camera and fast charging capabilities.

Tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) revealed details of the unnamed smartphone, which will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and feature a 1.5K resolution LPTO AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. The back of the phone should be glass or leather and not have a plastic frame.

The leaker also claims that the phone will have a 50-megapixel primary camera and an unnamed secondary camera. It’s said to have a “huge” battery that supports 120W fast charging, a narrow-focus fingerprint scanner, and an X-axis vibration motor.

Although the tipster didn’t name the phone in question in the original Weibo post, users responded that it would be a Realme or iQoo phone. According to the phone’s specifications, it can be the successor to the iQoo Neo 9 Pro launched in February.

The company’s recently launched Neo 9 Pro phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip paired with up to 12 GB of RAM. It has a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is equipped with an 8-megapixel secondary camera and a 50-megapixel main camera with Sony IMX920 sensor.

According to the company, it is powered by a 5160mAh battery that supports 120W SuperVOOC wired charging. The iQoo Neo 9 Pro has an optical fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication and is IP54 rated for dust and splash resistance.
