Motorola could soon launch a new phone in India. The company announced an internal launch event but gave no further details. According to speculation, a product called Motorola Edge 50 Pro could be unveiled. Of course, this model has not yet been officially presented. Notably, the company recently launched two new smartphones in the US: Moto G Power 5G (2024) and Moto G 5G (2024). The launch of these models in India has not been confirmed yet.
In a press release titled “Save the History,” Motorola India announced an event on April 3 that will “witness the fusion of art and intelligence.” The event is scheduled to take place in New Delhi. The memo doesn’t reveal any other details, but a new phone is expected to be announced. The company said “further details and official invitations” will follow soon.
It is speculated that the upcoming product will be the Motorola Edge 50 Pro. In the company’s teaser, “art” and “intelligence” are highlighted in bold. Target devices are expected to have many features that leverage artificial intelligence (AI). Motorola recently announced the launch of the Moto X50 Ultra in China as an “AI phone.” This model will be released outside China under the name Motorola Edge 50 Pro.
Details about the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, including its design and color options, were recently leaked. The smartphone is available in black, purple and white, with the white variant featuring a stone pattern. This version featured a triple camera unit on the back and a faux leather cover. Notably, the leaked render shows the date April 3 on the phone’s lock screen. Therefore, it was assumed that this model would be launched on the same day.
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro will be available in the US as Motorola Edge+ (2024). The phone is said to feature a 6.7-inch curved display with a 165Hz refresh rate and a 50-megapixel triple camera setup on the back that includes a 13mm wide-angle camera and a 73mm telephoto camera with up to 6- This phone is equipped with a 3rd generation Snapdragon 8 chip and 12 GB of RAM. The battery has a capacity of 4500 mAh and supports 125W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.
