Samsung Galaxy Ring to Be Launched in 3 Different Colourways Later This Year

Samsung’s Galaxy Ring was unveiled at the end of the Galaxy Unpacked event earlier this month. Although the company unveiled the new product, it did not provide any details. But now a new report says it could be published later this year. The report also highlights some of the features expected from the health-focused wearable device and claims that the Galaxy Ring will be a lightweight product. Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy Ring may also be available in three different colors and multiple sizes.

The report comes from SamMobile and quotes tech analyst Avi Greengart, who claims to have had hands-on experience with a prototype of the Samsung Galaxy Ring. In a post on Threads, they revealed that the device is incredibly lightweight and will be available in sizes up to size 13 (22.2mm). Furthermore, the analyst claimed that the device will be available in three different variants later this year.

The Samsung Galaxy Ring was unveiled as a health device at the Galaxy Unpacked event, where the South Korean tech company unveiled its flagship Galaxy S24 series. The Galaxy Ring is said to be equipped with multiple sensors to track users’ health characteristics and record physical activities. Some of these sensors can be seen in the teaser video and the company described them at the event as a “powerful and accessible health and wellness device.”

Samsung also hasn’t revealed any details about the device’s sensors, but the upcoming Galaxy Ring wearable is expected to feature a 24-hour heart rate monitor, SpO2 (blood oxygen) sensor, sleep monitoring tracker, and other fitness tracking features. These may also include monitoring blood pressure and detecting atrial fibrillation and atrial fibrillation (a type of heart arrhythmia), but these are based on rather vague rumors.

The device will apparently also integrate Samsung Health and its features and will likely require a companion app or device to sync and display data to users. The ring is expected to be compatible with both the Galaxy Watch and Samsung Galaxy smartphones. Based on the teaser images, pogo pin slots can be installed in the ring for charging.

The price of the Samsung Galaxy Ring is not yet known, but its rival Oura Ring starts at $299 (approximately Rs. 25,000) in the US. While the Oura ring is not available in India, Noise launched the Luna ring in India last year, which is available for Rs 20 lakh. 19,999. A similar price is expected for Samsung’s wearables.
