Abusive behavior with doctors of MB Hospital, video uploaded on social media

Udaipur : A man in Udaipur accused of abusing doctors at MB Hospital and uploading a video of the incident on Social Media.

The hospital’s superintendent, Dr. RL Suman, said that the incident took place on January 10, 2024, at around 7:30 p.m. A man entered the hospital’s eye ward, number 114, and began to wander around. At the time, the ward was occupied by Dr. Divya, Dr. Priya Kumari, first-year Dr. Prachi Khandelawal, Dr. Pratibha Sharma, Dr. Shubhangi, and nursing staff Santosh Kumari.

About half an hour later, the man returned with his female Patient, Shivangi Sharma. The patient said that she had fallen and injured her eye earlier that day.

The doctors examined the patient and prescribed eye drops. They told the patient and her family that the drops would take half an hour to take effect, and that further tests could be done afterwards.

The patient’s family members became angry and began to use abusive language towards the doctors.

The resident doctors filed a complaint with the principal and controller of Ravindra Nath Tagore Medical College and Dr. RL Suman. A committee was immediately formed to investigate the incident.
