New Delhi, Feb 25 : External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Friday stressed that India supports diplomacy and dialogue as the way out of the Ukrainian crisis, during a telephonic conversation with Ukrainian FM Dmytro Kuleba. The EAM in a tweet said that his Ukrainian counterpart shared his assessment of the current situation in Ukraine. The two also discussed the predicament of Indian nationals, including students in Ukraine, who are seeking to be evacuated following the Russian invasion, and the EAM appreciated the Ukrainian minister’s support for their safe return. “Received call from Ukrainian FM @DmytroKuleba “He shared his assessment of the current situation. “I emphasized that India supports diplomacy & dialogue as the way out. “Discussed predicament of Indian nationals, including students. “Appreciate his support for their safe return.” On Thursday the Ukrainian envoy in India had sought India’s active intervention to stop the Russian aggression in his country.
