‘Sold live-stock in Delhi, Jaipur markets’
Udaipur : The Udaipur police on Saturday arrested three persons for allegedly stealing cattles from several villages and settlements adjoining the city area. The arrested are Mustafa Mobin so Ahmed Qureshi resident of Rampur in Uttarpradesh , Kishanlal and Dinesh Pargi both residents of Udaipur. Police seized five buffaloes from a pick up van they were driving.
“ There were frequent complaints of cattle theft in villages of Chikalwas, Paladi, Kavita, Badgaon, Nai, Kalarohi, Bhoojra, Sisarma etc. The cattle were stolen in the wee hours. On Saturday our team caught the gang who had committed theft at 10 places and stolen some 40 buffaloes” Chandra Purohit, SHO Ambamata police station told Udaipur Kiran. These men confessed that they sold the stolen livestock in Jaipur and Delhi markets. Either they were sold to butchers or to peasants for petty amount. On Saturday the men were taking away 5 buffaloes from one Vijay Singh’s shed however, the vigilant cops had been keeping a watch nabbed them. The villagers said a buffalo cost somewhere between 50 thousand to one lakh rupee.
