Tata Power’s TPDDL stations 39 mobile distribution transformers

Tata Power Delhi Distribution (TPDDL), a joint venture (JV) of Tata Power and the Government of Delhi, has made an advanced preparation with 39 Mobile Distribution Transformers evenly stationed across its distribution network in North and North West Delhi. This step has been taken in order to provide uninterrupted power supply during the upcoming summer season and meet with the eventualities.

These Mobile Distribution transformers will provide quick restoration of service during contingencies, supporting system stability and helping in the continuity of supply in case of eventualities due to peak in demand and as per network requirements. These transformers will significantly reduce the response time during emergency as compared to traditional transformers (fixed) and restore the supply at the earliest.

Tata Power is India’s largest integrated power company with a growing international presence. The company together with its subsidiaries and jointly controlled entities has presence in all the segments of the power sector viz. Fuel Security and Logistics, Generation (thermal, hydro, solar and wind), Transmission, Distribution and Trading.
