OnePlus, true to their marketing ways, has been teasing the details around the Oneplus 6 for a while now. After announcing that Amazon.in will continue to the exclusive online partner for the upcoming flagship, the company has announced the date of launch in India — May 17th. That’s right. The OnePlus 6 is launching in Mumbai on May 17th with the sales starting from May 21st.

The launch will happen at the Dome at NSCI, Mumbai starting 3 PM on May 17th. The global launch of OnePlus 6 is happening on May 16th in London. Like last year, OnePlus is selling entry vouchers to the OnePlus 6 launch event in Mumbai which will be available starting 10 AM, May 8th 2018 on their official website.

The OnePlus Community at the event will be the first ones to try out the OnePlus 6 at the experience zone at the launch venue combining style with power. In addition, all fans who attend the launch event will get a gift hamper full of super add-ons and exclusive Marvel Avengers merchandise.

The OnePlus 6 is expected to carry top of the line specifications like the latest Snapdragon 845 processor, 6/8GB RAM, up to 256GB of internal storage, dual rear cameras, a notch FHD+ display, 3.5mm Audio jack and more. In addition to that, OnePlus is adding premium design this time with glass back. Commenting on the new design, Pete Lau said in a forum post, “the OnePlus 6’s glass back contains five printed layers of Nanotech Coating, a first in the smartphone industry. We applied 5 layers of Nanotech Coating instead of 3, even though the degree of separation between each layer is extremely subtle and tough to discern.”

OnePlus says that Amazon Prime members will have the advantage of Prime Early Access where they will get the first opportunity to purchase OnePlus 6 in an exclusive sale beginning at 12:00 IST on 21st May 2018.
