Some time ago, a married Couple from the city of Sibay (Republic of Bashkortostan) had a used IZH-2717 produced in 2004 at their disposal. They were fired up with the idea of ​​modifying the van, but their friend said that nothing good could come of a domestic “workhorse”. The couple considered it a challenge and took up the revision of the car.

It was decided to start with the salon, which on a regular IZH-2717 is made “in Spartan”, which means that neither the driver nor the passengers are pampered with comfort. As a result, the van got a powerful audio system, a new dashboard, TV and other electronics.

In the process of work, the spouses realized that it would not be possible to place new equipment and additional controls on the Standard front panel due to lack of free space. They decided to make a new panel for the car, which would not only be able to accommodate all this tuning, but at the same time looked more or less modern.

To accommodate the powerful speakers of the new audio system, the couple had to make a new rear wall and door panels for the IZH-2717, and they used fiberglass as the material for these components.

Plus, I had to be puzzled by the issue of noise and vibration isolation, since otherwise it would be impossible to enjoy music in the car. They finished off by painting the lower section of the cabin bright orange and re-altering the seats.

Having finished with the interior, the couple decided to bring the appearance of IZH-2717 to modern standards. In the beginning, they replaced the bumper of the model, and the front was again made independently from fiberglass, and the rear was bought and modified to fit the design of a domestic car.

The couple did not stop there, and subsequently the Car Received homemade metal wheel arch extensions and sills. Plus, the couple made a “shaving” of the cargo box and body, while installing a catchy air intake on the hood, and a neat spoiler on the roof.

As a result, the appearance of the IZH-2717 has become brighter and more modern, while in technical terms, this copy of the model has practically not changed at all. The van is still powered by the standard engine, although its compression ratio has been increased to 10.5, which made it possible to refuel the car with 95th gasoline.

Plus, the car received a 48th camshaft from Master Motor, a Solex-sport 26 * 26 carburetor, a microprocessor ignition system, as well as modified intake and exhaust ports. In general, the authors of the project can only be praised for the work done, but how much all the listed improvements cost is not specified.
