Jaguar C-x17 Concept – First Photos And Details Of The Jaguar Q-type / Xq Crossover

Jaguar is preparing a mid-size Crossover, the production version of which is scheduled for 2015, but as a Concept under the name C-X17, the car was presented at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

A few days before the opening of the exhibition, the first photos of the Jaguar C-X17 Concept appeared on the network, the design of which turned out to be made in the style of the current models of the manufacturer. For example, the front end is reminiscent of the XF sedan, and the taillights are associated with those on the F-Type sports car.

The overall length of the Jaguar C-X17 concept is 4,718 mm (wheelbase – 2,905), width – 1,959, height – 1,649, and the size of the ground clearance (clearance) is 213 millimeters.

The car has a low center of gravity and a small mass for its class (exact figures have not yet been announced), which, according to company representatives, provides it with excellent handling.

Initially, it was assumed that the competitor to the BMW X3 and Audi Q5 in the Jaguar would be built on the basis of the Range Rover Evoque, but in fact the SUV was based on a new all-aluminum “bogie” from the future Jaguar XS sedan – a new D-class model aimed at fighting for buyers with BMW 3-Series and Mercedes C-Class.

The power plant under the hood of the Jaguar C-X17 Concept has not been reported, but it is known that the future serial crossover (it was called the F-Pace) will receive new four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, as well as a 3.0-liter V6, which is now installed on the roadster. F-Type. They will be paired with an 8-band automatic.

In contrast to the exterior, the interior of the four-seater concept is more futuristic. There is a fully digital instrument panel and center console. The infotainment system can be operated by all four people in the cabin, there are two additional folding seats in the trunk, and the 28-speaker Meridian audio system is responsible for the music.

C-X17 5-Seater

At the auto show in Guangzhou, China, the British manufacturer presented a 5-seater version of the Jaguar C-X17 concept crossover, which also received a different body color and a redesigned 23-inch rims.

In addition to the increase in the number of rear seats from four to five, the interior of the prototype has changed the colors and materials of the interior decoration, as well as a head-up display, a panoramic roof and a multimedia complex with built-in Wi-Fi.
