Microsoft hat im Laufe der Woche das im Rahmen des Patchday für April 2024 angekündigte Update mit der Versions-Nummer 16.84 für Office 365, Office 2021 und Office LTSC 2021 für macOS veröffentlicht. Mit der neuen Version erhält Outlook für den Mac ein neues Zeitleisten-Widget für macOS sonoma. Jetzt ist es möglich, eine Besprechungsserie ab einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt zu bearbeiten, anstatt die gesamte Serie ändern zu müssen. Zudem lässt sich der Wechsel zwischen Profilen und Konten über das Widget im Navigationsbereich durchführen, und auf Favoritenordner kann ebenfalls über diesen Bereich zugegriffen werden. Zu guter Letzt wird eine Sicherheitslücke in Excel geschlossen. Weitere Informationen dazu finden sich bei Microsoft unter CVE-2024-26257. Dazu kommen die üblichen Bug Fixes und Verbesserungen, um die Office Apps zuverlässiger zu machen. Das Update auf die Version 16.84 setzt ein Mac mit macOS 12.0 oder neuer voraus und kann sowohl über AutoUpdate als auch direkt bei Microsoft geladen werden. Um AutoUpdate zu verwenden, starte eine Office App und klicke im Menü oben auf Hilfe -> Nach Updates suchen. Wenn du Office 365 für macOS verwendest, solltest du das Update demnächst erhalten. • Add-In: Fixed an issue that has caused add-ins to not load when click on Get Add-ins option.
• Search: Fixed an issue that has caused search to not return the results when searching in Groups.
• Settings: Fixed an issue where Search box is not shown in „Notifications and Sound“ Setting page when setting Language as Chinese.
• Performance: Improved performance issue that was causing Outlook to hang after initial installation or first update.
