Microsoft hat im Laufe des heutigen Abends elf nicht sicherheitsrelevante Updates für Office 2016 veröffentlicht. Bei Updates, die im Teil 1 des Patchday für April 2024 veröffentlicht wurden, handelt es sich um optionale Updates für Office 2016, Word 2016, Excel 2016, Outlook 2016, PowerPoint 2016, OneNote 2016 und Access 2016. Verwende am besten Microsoft Update, um die neuen Updates automatisch herunterzuladen und zu installieren. Nicht sicherheitsrelevante Updates müssen nicht unbedingt installiert werden, auch wenn die Installation empfohlen wird. Microsoft hat am Dienstag, den 5. April 2024 die folgenden nicht sicherheitsrelevanten Updates für Microsoft Office im Rahmen des Patchday für April 2024 veröffentlicht. Diese Updates sollen Nutzern helfen, ihre PCs sicher und auf dem neuesten Stand zu halten. Die Updates aus dem Microsoft Download Center sind nur für die MSI-basierte Edition von Office bestimmt. Bei Office-Click-to-Run-Editionen werden die Updates automatisch installiert.

• Update for Microsoft Access 2016 (KB5002525) – This update fixes an extended range of supported characters that are displayed incorrectly in Chart in Microsoft Access. To fix this issue completely, you have to install KB5002388 together with this update. To apply this update, you must have Microsoft Access 2016 installed.
• Update for Microsoft Office 2016 (KB5002340) – This update fixes an extended range of supported characters that are displayed as the underscore (_) character when you export to a text file from Microsoft Access. To apply this update, you must have Microsoft Office 2016 installed.
• Update for Microsoft Excel 2016 (KB5002577) – This update fixes an issue for surrogate pairs handling when you open text files in which lines start with an extended range of supported characters in the range above U+10,000. To apply this update, you must have Microsoft Excel 2016 installed.
• Update for Microsoft Office 2016 (KB5002050) – This update fixes an issue in which Microsoft OneNote cannot safely unload LibletAPI across multiple DLLs that it owns. After you install this update, LibletAPI can be safely uninitialized in various OneNote DLLs by uninitializing in a locked, reference-counted code block. To apply this update, you must have Microsoft Office 2016 installed.
• Update for Microsoft Office 2016 (KB5002388) – This update fixes an extended range of supported characters that are displayed incorrectly in Chart in Microsoft Access. To fix this issue completely, you have to install KB 5002525 together with this update. To apply this update, you must have Microsoft Office 2016 installed.
• Update for Microsoft Office 2016 (KB5002572) – This update contains the following improvement and fix in Office 2016: Removes the Organization Chart Add-in for Microsoft Office programs object type because of insufficient support for an extended range of supported characters. To get the improvement, you have to install KB 5002452 together with this update. To apply this update, you must have Microsoft Office 2016 installed.
• Update for Microsoft Office 2016 (KB5002452) – This update removes the Organization Chart Add-in for Microsoft Office programs object type because of insufficient support for an extended range of supported characters. To get the improvement, you have to install KB 5002572 together with this update. To apply this update, you must have Microsoft Office 2016 installed.
• Update for Microsoft OneNote 2016 (KB5002545) – This update fixes an extended range of supported characters for sending files as attachments in the Microsoft OneNote desktop application. This update also contains a fix for the following issue in OneNote 2016. To fix this issue completely, you have to install KB 5002050 together with this update. Fixes an issue in which OneNote cannot safely unload LibletAPI across multiple DLLs that it owns. After you install this update, LibletAPI can be safely uninitialized in various OneNote DLLs by uninitializing in a locked, reference-counted code block. To apply this update, you must have Microsoft OneNote 2016 installed.
• Update for Microsoft Outlook 2016 (KB5002574) – Introduces a new group policy to block the external card loop feature. The following three states are created for the new policy to make sure that Outlook follows the policy setting: Don’t show automatically, Only show automatically within tenant and Always show automatically. Fixes an issue in which the Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc) doesn’t load correctly after you create a new policy for the blocked external card loop. To apply this update, you must have Microsoft Outlook 2016 installed.
• Update for Microsoft PowerPoint 2016 (KB5002568) – This update disables the following features in Microsoft Office 2016 for some specific languages to avoid a file corruption issue. To apply this update, you must have Microsoft PowerPoint 2016 installed.
• Update for Microsoft Word 2016 (KB5002571) – Updates OLE linking to better match the support for an extended range of characters. To apply this update, you must have Microsoft Word 2016 installed.
