Rory McIlroy is rumored to be dating CBS’s golf reporter Amanda Balionis, and golf fans are speculating over the potential relationship and are truly confused by the development.
McIlroy just filed for divorce from his wife, Erica Stoll, at the beginning of the same week of the PGA Championship. The couple reportedly reached a “breaking point” after McIlroy’s constant travel due to this job did not align with Stoll’s commitment to being a mother to their daughter, Poppy.

However, it is rumored that McIlroy has started seeing Amanda Balionis, who many golf fans know from her work on CBS as a reporter who interviews players after their rounds conclude.

Balionis recently also parted from her partner after many noticed she was without her wedding ring and dropped her new surname—Renner—from her social media accounts.
The Daily Mail was the first to report on the potential relationship between McIlroy and Balionis, stating that the pair were the “talk of the links,” using totally subjective language to describe her demeanor throughout an interview with McIlroy last weekend:
“Dressed in a blush top that matched with McIlroy’s own, Balionis giggled, flirted, and fangirled her way through the interview.”
To be quite frank, it seems like a reach. Balionis has a bubbly personality as it is and is very open during her interviews with any golfer, not just McIlroy.

Last weekend, another popular social media account on X called LIV Golf Insider claimed to have an inside scoop on the McIlroy-Balionis flame, claiming McIlroy came in to pick up takeout under the name “Amanda.”
This came from a random person online, so it has very little credibility as of now:
